This game looks really good but fell pretty hard when it released. It had issues with the loading screens, visuals, audio, and other bugs. What kept my interest is the story. I came to a point where the game was just unplayable for me so I waited patiently for any announcements. News of a major update prompted me to play and stream it again after taking a break from it for six months. There are alot of improvements to the game after the update. I just started a new game save but I'm already noticing improvements that make the game much better.. so many bugs, but it truly ranks in the top of the list of the best kitsch indie horror titles of all time. Tagged as a survival horror because you have to survive the horror of nearly 30 minutes of poorly animated and badly scripted cut scenes, before the game truly begins. You can check out these nightmare scenes in my first impressions video.https://youtu.be/bbE1i17CIF0Couple these unskippable cut scenes with numerous loading screens and you have one of the worst openings to a survival horror game I’ve ever experienced. The developers apparently spent five years working on this so there’s no excuse for this shoddy introduction. Did they not test this at all? When you finally get to the gameplay things don’t get any better, with a very uneven frame rate, stuttering and even freezing. The camera is also pretty terrible and can occasionally clip through the player character. This makes combat difficult especially when enemies get up close. When you add poor FOV, fast enemies,♥♥♥♥♥♥frame rate and floaty aim, the combat becomes a confusing chore. You aren’t given a map and there are no objective markers (or objectives) either, so you’ll have no idea where to go or what you’re meant to be doing. This game clearly wasn’t ready for release and whilst it evokes some nostalgia for classic survival horror games through its visuals, the gameplay and story actually take a huge step back. There are lots of third person survival horror games on Steam, many of them cheaper than this. I wouldn’t even recommend this if you’ve exhausted all the good titles because it’s just not fun to play. When the scariest thing about your horror game is the chore of actually having to play it, you’ve probably ♥♥♥♥ed up.. So despite all the negative reviews.... I decided to buy the game. From what I can see and from what I've experienced thus far from playing the game. It's not at all that bad of a game, the game play is completely fine. It's very much enjoyable and is living up to the hype I have had for the game since i first heard about it. Now there is a few things wrong that I personally don't like about the game, but it's not game breaking...... The game was developed from 2 people and honestly.... this game is pretty damn amazing. The graphics are pretty good, it has pretty good controls, and enemies are pretty good thus far. But now for the little things that I personally didn't like about the game thus far. The text is different from the voice over, which can throw people off but again if you either listen to what they say or just read what they say it's not a game breaker. One other thing that I found that I didn't like was, I could clip myself through some objects that I think wasn't meant to be passable. Now with that said, again it doesn't break the game...... I haven't been able to crash the game. It's just minor things like a barrel for example or a shelf. Now despite all that, the game plays pretty well and I don't have the best of computers but it runs smooth! Now some things I think the game could add in or improve upon is being able to map the keys used in the game to your choosing. Or even show what buttons do what. I personally didn't think it was bad just because I was pressing buttons just to see what they do myself, but info or a key map would be nice. Now to continue my journey through the game until I finish it! :) I give the game a solid 4/5 Stars way to go Dev team, you did a great game and was well worth the wait! (in my personal opinion, others may not agree but this is what I have to say/feel about the game). The game reminded me resident evil, code veronica. It looks like a classical horror survival game. I will take my time to beat it and i will keep you informed. As for now, it seems like an oldschool horror survival game, including puzzles and gameplay. I will be back with my news, cheers to the devs for staying around and giving big time to fix it.. Crying is not enough:- mediocre graphics,- awful character models and faces,- subtitles different from what character say,- clumsy camera movement,- no interaction indicators,- no objectives,- loading screens every 2 minutes (seriously),- very bad cut scenes without fluid transition into the game,- FPS drops (i7 7700K, 1080Ti, 32Gb RAM),- you can not interact with anything other than story objects (no viewing, picking up, opening, etc),- £14 ($18.50) is a joke.Simply refund is enough. Go and buy superb "Witch Hunt" for fraction of this price instead - 1/10.. I own the game since day two! I played but it had too many bugs. After the update I see a huge improvements! The optimization is pretty darn good, no frame drops no enemy glitches and the levels load smoothly. I like the "skip" button on the cinematics, saves you time! The aiming is much better. The objectives is a must have in these games and the devs listened. The crates where you get ammo and other items is a life savior in some situation! Overall I am very happy with the game !!. Was hoping for a decent horror game but no this is a turd! Crazy amount of loading screens, sound not in sync, subtitles not accurate (a helicopter is a plane apparently) just feels clumsy and poorly done. Avoid!. ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE! 17$? NO FREAKING WAY! Passion projects are fine and everything but this game is borderline unplayable and really unpolished. There is no deadline to release this game so why not take another 4 to 6 months and tidy up all of the horrible subtitles, terrible cameras and ridiculous hit and collision detections. 0/10 NEVER TOUCH!. To start off simple, I contacted the developer of this game back in November because I was interested to see when an update might be dropped for it. He ended up making me a beta tester and I found a lot of things that needed fixed. After a couple months later, the update is finally available and is so much better than what they'd released all the way back in June.Crying is not Enough puts you in the hands of Jacob Helten, after a serious car accident with his wife: Claire. The game starts off with him having a nightmare and then waking up in a panic. He's then told to make way to the hospital as something has happened to Claire. Upon arriving, he finds out that she's mysteriously disappeared from the hospital with little information about the situation to offer. A mysterious woman then tells Jacob to go with her as she might be affiliated with Claire in some way. Jacob follows her onto a helicopter where they have a small discussion before they find out the helicopter's been rigged with an explosive then blows up and crashes on an island. This game may not be your cup of tea as it is far from being AAA (it was literally developed by two people). But in my own opinion, it's really scary and fun in its own way. Not to mention it is heavily inspired by Resident Evil 2. You can easily tell by the OST and some of the level design that it definitely is.I recommend this game because it's fun. And I think you should give it a try.
